Step 2 | Enrol in the Learning Experience

Micro-credentials may be embedded in:

• Academic courses or course modules
• Workshops and training programmes
• Projects and experiential learning activities
• Co-curricular learning opportunities

Enrolment procedures may vary depending on the issuing unit.

Step 3 | Complete the Assessment

Demonstrate your achievement by successfully completing the required assessment activities.

Assessment may include:

• Portfolios
• Practical demonstrations
• Other authentic assessment tasks

Step 4 | Meet the Badge Criteria

Digital badges are awarded only when all published requirements have been successfully met.

Assessment is:

• Learning outcome-based
• Competency-focused
• Conducted using approved assessment criteria and rubrics

Participation alone does not qualify learners for a micro-credential.

Step 5 | Verification & Badge Issuance

Once your achievement has been confirmed:

1. The issuing unit submits the badge request to the Office of Micro-Credentials.
2. The OMC verifies that all badge requirements have been fulfilled.
3. Your digital badge is issued through the University's credential platform.
4. You receive an email with instructions to claim your badge.

Step 6 | Access, Share & Verify

Your digital badge contains secure metadata describing your:

• Learning outcomes
• Skills and competencies
• Assessment information
• Issuing authority

You can easily:
