Aiming to equip its students with additional competencies in a wide range of fields-from artificial intelligence and software to health and sustainability-alongside their chosen areas of study, İzmir University of Economics (IUE) has introduced 1,100 students to “digital badges,” which serve as electronic certificates. 

The Sports Management Program, launched by İzmir University of Economics (IUE) to contribute to the development of Turkish sports and the training of professional managers, has produced its first graduates. 

The opening of the Sports Management Certificate Program, launched by Izmir University of Economics (IEU) with the support of Göztepe Sports Club, was held with great enthusiasm. 

Izmir University of Economics (IUE) has taken a major step to contribute to the development of sports in our country and the training of professional managers by launching a special certificate program that will reach all of Turkey. 

Taking another significant step in the field of digital transformation, Izmir University of Economics (IUE) became the first and only university from Turkey to join the Digital Credentials Commons (DCC) network, which includes the world's leading universities.

Students of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Faculty of Fine Arts and Design have reinterpreted the city's historical texture and multicultural structure through the language of art. Students visited historical areas along the Kemeraltı, Havra (Synagogue), Agora, and Basmane line, documenting Izmir's richness through photographs as part of the ‘City and Impressionism’ project. They then transformed these shots into paintings using artificial intelligence (AI)-supported digital tools. Dr. Utkan Boyacıoğlu, the project coordinator, said, “The most important feature of this art movement is painting scenes from life with unique perspectives. Our students have reflected Izmir's dynamic and multicultural texture through their own impressions.”

Izmir University of Economics (IUE) and the Vocational Qualifications Authority (VQA) organized a workshop titled “Identity Cards of the Digital Age” to explore the perspectives of various stakeholders on micro-credentials. 

As part of the “Eşitliğe Sür” (Drive for Equality) project developed by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality’s ESHOT General Directorate to increase female driver employment and strengthen awareness of gender equality, 120 female driver candidates have started training at Izmir University of Economics (IUE). 

Izmir University of Economics (IUE), which aims to provide the best career opportunities to its students by providing them with the skills sought by the business world, received a grant of 22 thousand pounds from the British Council, a UK-based international arts, culture and education organization. IUE became one of the 3 universities in Turkey that qualified to receive a grant this year within the scope of the ‘Connect4Innovation’ project.
